It just makes things look so much cleaner. There are many ways and places to hide the wires without opening the walls, etc. There are a lot of good wirelsess speakers on the market as well.

Thanks good Sir! Today I am buying a 60 inch to put up there. The 46 inch looks too small for the area. Good thing is that this one goes to our Bedroom. Which is awesome. I am not a fan of sitting on the love seat watching a 24 inch tv.

I have decided to finish the interior of the pool house in order to convert it to the Man cave for me and the boys. It makes for a great fall project .Plus the boys can use the labor towards their Cub Scout badges.

A little of this and a little of that.
^^^Looks good OZ-T. Stacked to the ceiling.

I'll have to get some pictures, but spent a couple days replacing my ducts for the downstairs furnace. Original was all flex material runs and insulation board plenums and replaced with metal duct runs and metal box plenums. Taped, sealed, caulked all seams and connect points. Should be more efficient.

Worked on my shed today. Bought a display model and saved $800, so I didn't mind spending a few hours widening the door to fit my tractor in.

Last week, my wife and I took a 3-day class from BuddyRhodes.com for decorative concrete. We're looking to do some concrete countertops in our kitchen and probably some stuff for the outside (planters, step stones and such). I'll have to pick up a hand mixer, some trowels and an wet polisher but that's about all the equipment I'll need.

The class was pretty good. They taught Trowel-in-place, press fit and GFRC as well as a little bit in mold making. The class size was small (about 8 people) and they had some other experienced people (Justin Burd) who were setting up their own classes for the east coast. Buddy Rhodes was also there.

They just used an orbital sander up against the outside of a melamine form (countertop). It seemed to work pretty good with very little holes. What was there was filled in with a colored acrylic. For the press fit and sprayed GFRC concrete we didn't use any vibrator at all. The sprayed GFRC came out very smooth. One of the class projects we did was an 8 foot custom sink using sprayed GFRC.

This is the site for Justin Burd. He has some pretty cool stuff on there:

    Yeah , I've used a palm sander before .

That's cool stuff , I don't do countertops , my stuff is usually cast in place lintels , caps and ledgers for stonework , they are usually wet sanded to approximate cut stone

Thanks for the link , I'll check it out

Hey Oz. You ever use any of the festool stuff?

    http://www.festoolusa.com/default.aspx

There sanders and vacuum systems are great. I'm not to big of a fan of the skill saw and chop saw other than for shop work'.

I had a temporary light up in our dining room area out of a contractor pack that I just replaced with a chandelier on Sunday.

    And here's the new one:

I also dug 250 ft of french drains two weekends ago and I have photos of the installation but i haven't taken any of the finished product with new seed and hay over it. I'll take some and post there here soon.

    But here's a teaser pic:

Who all here are woodworkers? I saw oz-t wood stacked to ceiling pic.
I've got a family object I've had in garage for 15 years or so,wonderin what to do with it.
Most of my family is in Virginia. Our family had a mill but was closed ages ago. I have cousins that still have theirs. When I was up there in 1997, the side of the 2 floor mill where the chute was that came out to fill trucks and bags was flattened by an old boy that drove drunk. They were about to set a match to the pile, but I asked to rummage thru first.
I found the funnel box intact which I pulled out and stuffed into my old 97 taco. It was 4x3 or so,toungue and groove poplar. The actual funnel was so thin it had license plates covering edges.
I was going to make an armoire out of it years ago,and started gluing it back together, but never finished. They're not as popular anymore unless I continue and make it a clothing armoire.
I was thinking a dining table, with long boards framing in the 3' toungue and groove sections. Thoughts? I'll try post pics later.
