i bought a air tool set from sears and everything works except the 3/8 ratchet wrench. any advice. when i press the handle air only comes out from the small vent on the top by the handle. i had the screw all the way in and all the way out, but nothing happens??? is it broken???

the impact gun works and the air hammer works, but the racthet wrench doesnt even turn.
    here the ratchet wrench

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Put a socket on it and loosen/tighten a bolt up without air. Then hook the air air and do it again. If that doesn't work, take it back.

This ^^^ and sometimes tapping it on the concrete a little bit helps free it up. My 3/8 air ratchet does this from time to time. It gets stuck between forward and reverse.

They all seem to lock up like that,,except for my IR wrench.

Santas bringing me a new 3/8" and 1/4" shortie air gun. Those get used more than my wrenches.

The fibre wipers in the air motor section probably are dry and really tight, since it is a new wrench. Use it as a regular ratchet on a bolt and see if it will free up. Use plenty of oil the first few times,,then a few drops every so often.

Sears has a really nice compact air/water separator thst should be sold with all those kits,,along with the air swivles that screw to the base of the tool;);).

Does it have a forward/reverse button? Are you sure it isn't between settings?

I have always been thought to put 2-3 drops every time before using it. And put about 5-6 or so drops in before its first use or it been sitting for years.
