Wrenching = Cheap Taiwanese crap. One set I've had for 17 years. They actually held up fine.

Power tools = Harbor freight crap and used tools from yard sales, old Craftsman stuff

Mower = Vintage 70's 2 cycle Lawn Boy. These are indestructible, last forever, need no maintenance. Got it for free only because the pull rope was broke. 5 minute fix.

ShopVac = Off-brand from Home Depot

Tool boxes: 3 Kennedy tool boxes from the 50's. Two are machinists's drawer units, the big one is a large long box with top tray.

I try to go cheap when I can, but sometimes I want a good quality tool.

hydraulic jacks for house leveling - harbor freight
Sockets- Craftsman
Lawn Care - Garage sale specials (my lawnmower was $5 and it has worked well for over 2 years)
Dewalt-circular saw
Black & Decker-Assorted power tools(when I break them, I upgrade the brand)
Air Compressor and Nail Guns - Porter Cable
Biscuit Jointer - Porter Cable
Table, chop, scroll saw, and bench grinder - Ryobi

A little bit of everything
Mostly Craftsman tools in the garage and mostly harbor freight stuff in the trail bag. Not picky.... just buy whatever we need when we need it. Depending on what it is and how often we'll actually use it - usually decides the price range we work with.
