Ya the rock here sucks. I like the 1/2 to 3/4 inch rock in the concrete explanation. We use that for prime.

In southern Oregon there is no good aggregate for exposed....it's all crushed.
We had to get "Marysville" rock from California to do exposed.

The most I've pumped is about 600 - 700 CY....that's a busy day.
Your finishers are your limiting factor......you can pump a lot more than you can finish.

I used to do a lot of tilt-ups.
Large slab pours every day or every other day. 40,000 SF average pour in the summer. Winter cuts it in half.

Laser screeds and often the largest pumps in the Northwest. Two trucks on the pump the whole time.

 

Yea its 11 cubic yards. The shop is already standing ( no walls ) pole barn with a 10 ft opening. Just want a descent shop floor to wheel jacks and such

OK, you'll be able to tailgate it, especially if you have truck access all around.

 

Most concrete companies sell it by the yard. I just finished a 12x8 exposed aggregate slab that's 4" thick. It also has a colonial die and pea gravel was used in the mix.

I purchased 3 yds of it. With the $100 delivery fee my total was like $340

The mixing truck backed into my yard attached a few things and the concrete began to pour into the form.

 

24 x 24. I was thinking 6 inches thick?? Is that two thick?

 

For warehouses we will do a 5" - 6" reinforced slab (18" x 18" rebar mat) to withstand forklift traffic. That's a serious commercial slab.
Garage and shop floors are usually 4" thick. Sometimes wire panels (mesh), sometimes rebar, sometimes no reinforcement. Depends on the loads the floor is designed for.

 

So a 4" with some wire panels would probably be good for my Toyota and Jeep build?

 

At 4" thick it is a little over 7 cubic yards. Getting to be a much better price haha
