Dishwasher Question

We have a pinkish/orange-ish tint on the inside of our dishwasher. It's all over the sides, bottom, top and the racks and is not coming off very easily. I know it is not tomato sauce because I pre-rinse all those dishes off first. It's to the point that it is ruining all of our tupperware and if we put ANYTHING white in there, it comes out the same color... Any ideas what is causing this? I've tried several methods listed online to get rid of it, but I'd like to know what is causing it in the first place. I don't think it is my water quality (already did a test on that).

Are your water pipes galvanized? If so could be rust

Newer house built within the last year so I doubt it's the pipes. It is not hard water, we've checked for that already and the water isn't affecting anything else in the house (glass shower doors and they stay crazy clean with little effort)

Mold or fungus, usually living in the hard water deposits. Wipe everything down with some white vinegar. Some frequent repeated wiping should take care of it.

Clean out the filters if you can access them, You'll find plenty of it there too.

There is probably something in your filter that's dying the water and causing the problem. It happens to me when my kid dropped some candy in the dishwasher and it was in the sump. If there is nothing in there try running a product called dishwasher magic. What kind of dishwasher do you have?
