    Garage going up. Only one problem. the garage doors are only 7', supposed to be 8' tall.

    those are anchor bolts not rebar....48" oc is pretty common

    sub'd congrats, helped my parents build their house when I was in high school, we hired sub contractors and dad did the general contracting, had to help with painting and door knobs and what not, was cool watching each step. someday want to build my own, I love carriage house set ups where the garage opens up into the living area, just plan on it being me, my bikes, and the truck.

    Not here in Cali. I would have 16" OC verts, with 12" OC horz #6 min if its a poured wall, if a block wall every other cell with #6 verts and #6 horz every third row and fill the cells with 5k psi. But thats just me, I tend to over build everything if its my own. :cool:

    I'm on my computer now and can actually see the pics better

    are the anchors in the walls ( besides the ones by the garage door ) straps ?

    why are the bolts so far out of the concrete , is there tie down hardware going in these locations or is it a local code requirement ?
