Gas line & BTUs

My wife and I are planning to pipe our house for natural gas. The gas company wants to know how many BTUs our appliances use. Currently we have no gas appliances but plan on upgrading to gas when the current ones need replacing. I've heard you need to estimate high so that the gas company doesn't give you a line that's too small for future upgrades.

I went around to various high-end appliance sites and came up with a figure of around 250,000 BTUs. Does that sound right?

Here are my estimates:
Viking Stove 90,000 BTUs for 6 15,000 BTU burners, plus 40,000 BTUs for the ovens
Furnace for 2650 square feet in SoCal: 24,000 BTUs
Dryer: 24,000 BTUs
Water Heater: 70,000 BTUs for a 75 gallon
