    i don't mind it ;)

heres my basement setup that I did last year.

    before:

one lousy outlet. i had to fix that.

    after:

after much contemplation i decided to build a rack for my stereo and remove everything from under the tv. so, this is what it looks like. i put an outlet on both far sides for subwoofers, even though i only have one, you never know. then on the bottom row you have you 2 front speakers, center, and 4 outlets. ok, maybe the outlets were a little over kill but i like having options. or if a new owner wants to move in and just put their stuff under their tv, they are set because they can plug 8 things in down low without needing a power strip :D

up high i have an outlet for the tv and the "video" box. it has my coax, componet, and hdmi (1.3) jacks. i tried to cover every base possible.

i still need to do final trim, but i like leaving half finished projects everywhere :D

wow! That iron claw tub was so ghetto with that tile!
Well, My tenants moved out (before i could evict them) so instead of gutting another room in my house i have to gut a room in the rental and fix that place up... oh well , at least i can write off the rental work!

    tops came friday.

i was originally gonna cap the vent that the island landed on....but decided to re-route it and dump it by the toekick. you can see on the left theres a little space where the toekick shoots in. well, now the heat/ac comes out of the space and covers the floor there nicely.

you can see my cats were very curious while i was gone  Ordered the faucet yesterday and it should be here soon hopefully. Need to throw the disposal on and hook the Dishwasher up.

    List of things to complete:
    -Hang mircrowave
    -finish running electrical
    -Tile backsplash
    -grout everything
    -undercab. lights.
-pick all the other lights and get them up.
    -finish painting.
    -hard-wood floors when funds allow.

so i am at the end almost. just little things to do. I am gonna try to finish the electrical and paint today if i get motivated. The sink turned out really nice and am glad i went with it. everything else seems to be coming together. now if i only had more time!

over the long weekend I plan on finishing up the trim around the windows and island. I have the backsplash picked out as well. I noticed a couple spots on the granite which arent coming out which has me concerned. This is supposed to be the hardest, most non porous granite there is. If it has to come back out for some reason I dont want it to screw up my back splash.

I picked out the island lights and have to cut those in over the weekend as well. a few cans and fan should complete it.

careful with Ikea, I was going to order a bed from them once for about $200 but the shipping costs came out to about $300 because it was an import - more than the price of the stupid bed!
