Red face how to improve FM signal on car/toolbox stereo

So I got this thing at lowes............ FM signal isnt the greatest. What would be the most simple way to improve signal?

I dont know if I can even take the toolbox apart to get to the back of the stereo (I assume I can make a key and pull the stereo out if I NEED TO). Its got a car antenna mounted to the back of the toolbox, and I dont know if it can be improved upon with adding wire or something.... I dont mess with car stereos often.

Odd question i know.......... I bought the box due to the price cut on a display model (perfect condition), and I really needed the depth of these drawers, and the 41" model wasnt big enough. The radio was just something that came with it.

Hehehe

Do what we do in the shops.
Grab some bare wire and run it along the roof or wall.
One guy mounted a antenna on roof outside and ran the cable inside.
Put some tinfoil on it.

so, use 2 conductor........... wrap bare ends around the top of the existing antenna, then run vertical a few feet, and split and run horizontal right?

or completely bare wire exposed?

dumb question I know.

It all depends on the room, roof, building. I used wire In a "t" for my scanner.
A bare 6 foot for my radio.
One time we hooked two diferent radios together with a piece of tinfoil.
There was no set system to our madness hehehehehehe
