I was helping my neighbors setup for a garage sale last night and saw an arbor press sitting off to the side. I've never used one, but seeing that it was in very good condition made in the USA out of heavy cast iron, i knew it was worth the $30 they were offering.

I took it home and after a bit of research, turns out its a Dake Model 0 1.5 ton that sells new for between $400-$600:D

So, now that I have it, what can I do with it? I can already see its value if I'm pressing in/out bushings. It didn't come with a plate assembly which has value if I'm pressing something that of a smaller diameter. There is also a tapped hole in the base of the ram so there must be attachments for it but the only attachments I find online are for 20+ton presses.

    Any information would be appreciated.

I use mine for straightening/bending shotgun barrels to regulate poi/poa issues and for installing night sights on pistols. Anything you can use a regular hydraulic press for you can use the Arbor press for, you have more control and feel.

    PS: you stole it!
