Has he had problems with the Kawi's? Both my commercial mowers have kohlers and I can't say anything but good things about them.

Oh ok. I thought they were good engines but just the way you said it or the way I read it it came out as if the mower was good but he had problems with the engine.

I looked into deere when I bought my cub cadet true zero-turn TRACTOR. The cub cadet has a better emissions rating and can tackle hills with no problem. There is not another true zero-turn tractor on the market. Plus, the price was right!

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
I work on mowers on the side. My view is a little different because I usually just pick up some POS for free or $50 and get it running. Sears, MTD, Toro, and even some of the brands that used to be good like Cub Cadet are about the same, meaning they're made out of cheap stamped steel and generally have either a Kohler or Briggs engine. Kohler builds one of the best engines out there so if you pick up a mower at Home Depot, get one with a Kohler.

Stay away from Murray. They are big Pieces of shit that will wear out in a couple years. Professionally, I really like Skag mowers. They are built like tanks and will withstand a huge amount of abuse. The decks have a 1/2" piece of steel running across the front.

Personally, I like older mowers like some of the older rear engine Snapper and Ariens machines. I used to get these and put a bigger engine and crank pulley on it. That way it'd actually go faster, not dangerously faster, but fast enough. Parts are cheap and easy to replace on these. They have a bar on the back so you can sit them on their backs upright so you can service them really easily.

    That's a nice machine.

I see what you're saying by a zero turn traditional riding mower. A few years ago Deere made the sst 16 and sst 18 that were zero turn traditonal mowers. I heard they weren't that great though.

I misunderstood what you were saying that it was the only true zero turn. I thought you meant it was the only one in general not just in a traditional mower.

crapsman. I guess they are ok for the occasional use but they don't hold up too well.

Do you have one with the suspension? I think that's a great idea.
