how to pick a lock

    i aquired my dads truck a while ago i got 2 questions

    can i get the title and tag transfered to me if he does it at the dmv but im not there

    also he has a tool box, with stuff in it, none of us have a key, id like to keep the box but how can i pick the lock with out breaking it so i can get a key made

    Do you know who made the tool box? Is there a number on the lock? With that info you should be able to order a set of keys or get keys made at a locksmith. Just a thought..

    Depending on the manufacturer of the box you may be able to order keys for it online, I did it for one tat was given too me.

    u should be able to drill the lock out, open it and then replace just the locking part for like 10 dollars

    Or take it down to Tractor Supply and try all their keys (that are in the toolboxes for sale) in it. Chances are one will fit.

    you can also call a lock smith who pours some stuff in the hold to make a mold, then makes a key from that..

    i think i can drill out the rivits and then take it to sams club and get it done there, rivit it back in and wallah


    btw my mechanic says he gets this all the time, and its what he does

    youtube how to pick a lock. i've done it before with a hairpin. but the torque pick shown and the other tool are much better
