2009 Tacoma Tacoma-Transmission question?

I have a 2009 Tayota Tacoma with V-6, automatic transmission and 4X4. I think I really messed up. Getting ready for a long trip so thought I would change the oil myself. Well I accidentally removed the transmission drain plug. Woops! This is my first vehicle ever without a fluid check tube. I am now discovering that it is a sealed system and now I am not sure what to do. I drained about 3 quarts of fluid. I drained the fluid into a clean pan. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Phil

Well, its sealed and a major PITA to try and fill yourself. Its $229 to get your tranny refilled at the dealership, but you'll have, I mean, YOU HAVE, to get it towed there. So it might cost you upwards of $400.

Try this thread. This is what you should do when you make the tranny oil plug/motor oil plug boo-boo.
