I've had my Dewalt 14.4v XRP for about 8 years and I just replaced one of the batteries. OP, I know you said you want the Lithium battery, if you go with Dewalt either way, I'm sure you'd be more than pleased!

Although I used only Dewalt products, if money isn't a huge issue- look into Hilti. They are the shit!

I went with the makita set at costco. I think it would fit you well with the small battery and automated light that turns on when you squeeze the trigger...

Makita! Especially the impact drill. Use it to take my wheels on and off and i used it to change me transfer case and it performed perfect! Light weight, pretty easy chuck to use, has a light that stays on for about 5 seconds after u let off the trigger so u can still see your work! Overall one of the best drills I've ever used.

I have 2, the reg. Drill and the impact . And I have used the piss out of them with zero problems. I also have a few dewalts that I can burn up in a year. The dewalts are ok, but they are heavy as shit. In my book the makita is the best drill I have ever used.

Porter Cable 19 volt...I do a lot of remodeling and have had this for 10+ years and still using the original batteries. I've worked with guys using all kinds of drills and this thing beats them all...lightweight, small head to get into tight places, plenty powerful, and the batteries last forever....not to mention I beat it to death!

I have a garage full of hitachi 18v lithium battery tools.. think I'm only missing one that they make (even got some over seas releases). They're not quite dewalt probably, but I'm also not a contractor, so why should I pay for dewalt. Definitely good quality. And I like green.

Even picked up the wet vac blower, and lantern (not flash light). Still want to get the radio, but they don't sell it in the US. It would work for the radio band and whatnot, but oh well. Not "technically" us radio band tuning.

Thinking the angle grinder in a battery format isn't worth it. And I still can't figure out what an impact driver (not hammer drill) is for.

An 18V angle grinder on a regular battery sucks but on a lithium it's awesome. Especially with a skinny zip-cut blade. Super useful. Don't expect to turn a 4'x8'x1/2" sheet of steel into a new bumper on one charge or anything but if you're zipping off bolt heads and nails you can't beat it.

Just to really mess with you, I would say you need two seperate drills. As a carpenter I use an 18v makita lithium ion for your standard tasks, drilling and screwing and every other damn thing you can think of. But I always have a seperate hammer drill that is concrete/masonry only, and for tools that are going to see abuse like a hammer drill does I stick to milwaukee products. I won't buy a real sawzall or hammer drill in anything other than milwaukee.

The only part that may be a downside is that I stick with corded hammer drills, which actually has never been a problem for me. If you are using a hammer drill generally you are outside working on a foundation or you are in a basement, both places are generally pretty easy to run extensions cords. and I guarantee the corded milwaukee will run longer and have less problems than any batter operated hammer drill you can find.
