will this impact wrench work???

ok so i need an impact wrench so i can rotate my tires and what not with routine maintenance on my truck. i've been looking at a craftsman 19.2V, 200 ft-lbs of torque battery powered portable impact wrench kit. its cheaper than having to get a compressor, impact wrench, then hoses and all that plus i dont have the space for a compressor where i live.

what im getting at is that will the impact wrench i mentioned fit my needs, or will i need to get a full kit with more torque?

 

yes. my cousin has same one but you can only tighten and loosen them then you will need a torque wrench to torque to spec and you cant run them them tight with it neither

 

i have a torque wrench so i should be good there. as long as i can loosen up and tighten my lug nuts thats all i need it for

 

Yes. Remember that since you religiously used your torque wrench at 83 ft/lbs (I do 90 on mine) and used anti-seize lube , You will only need just over that poundage to remove them. DO NOT USE THE IMPACT WRENCH TO TIGHTEN THE NUTS - NEVER!

I have a small craftsman impact wrench that maxes out at 80 ft/lbs. with 90 lbs of air. It won't take them off. I was driving down the street a few years ago and saw a garage sale. I found a Matco 600 lbs wrench for $25. What a deal! I had a friend borrow it to remove some rusted on nuts on his full size tractor wheels. It will either remove the nut or break the bolt. Either way that sucker's coming off. I use the Matco to remove lugs and even used it to get the 180 ft/lbs. pulley nut off my Acura with ease. I pretty much only use it in reverse.
