6" suspension lift 3" body lift 35x15.50-15 tsl xs

I bought new oem cv axles and installed them. I'm down to putting manual hubs back on and they won't slide on the new axle shaft. All are 26 spline and new axles where for a 1999 4x4 with manual hubs. Any advice or info on why they won't fit
