Smart advice. This is what I tell all my friends that want a BMW. Actually, I tell this to anyone buying European.

A couple guys I know have bought left over Z06s from 2009. One baught his last November for 54k and the other one bought his last week. Seems like there are alot of high end 2009 models left around.

Personally, I would take an IS-F anyday over any BMW.

As an M owner... I would not.

For that kind of money... you can buy a Porsche Gt2 or something else that rips the 500+hp M6

If it's like Japan, she can make back what she paid plus some by reselling it. Had a buddy take a chevy extra cab diesel and he made $10k over what the truck was new.

As for AMG owner I suggest to buy use high end car . If she want M6 she should wait for next gen because BMW will come back to V8 twinturbo for the next M5 as for current X5M which is V8 568hp .And I think they will change for M6 also .
As for fast car Porsche hold better than BMW for resale . Any way coupe pics of my 05 E55 K3 Kleemann power

I'd say go for it. The finish out, handling, and all around performance of the M6 is simply amazing. My neighbor's wife has one as a play toy so to speak and it is a beast, to say the least.

    I have owned a few BMW's

The service issue is the biggie.

M cars have a different service requirement than regular BMWs and if you don't have a mechanic who knows the service you will have a worthless car.

My buddy had a Z4M that spent 3 months in the shop with lawyers after the stealership forgot to refill his differental at the 1200 mile break in service. At his 2nd oil change they put the wrong oil in and destroyed his engine resulting in a new car at from BMWNA and the stealership.

Be very careful with a M car they are a joy to drive and a nightmare to maintain and fix.
