    Hi guys! I have a 4runner question.

I let my sister-in-law borrow my Taco this week......:facepalm:so I have been driving her 97 4runner. I have noticed that it feels like you are riding on the frame. Also on the interstate the steering shakes. It has around 226,000 miles on it. I am not well versed in car knowlegde, but was wondering if she needed to replace her leaf springs or shocks or what is going on with it.

    Thanks guys!

96+ 4runner = coils all around. most likely the shocks are shot. if you want to upgrade, bilsteins all the way. if you dont got the dough, id say procomp es9000's. and i can assume the springs are sagging like a mofo, so you can get the OME ones or i think you can use the FJ rears and tundra fronts for like 3 inches of lift. you can also check the steering rack bushings, if those are shredded, go for the poly ones. also the shaking can be caused by unbalanced/unaligned tires.
