|It's really no surprise that the Tacoma tops this list. Peterson says the timing of the survey was unfair to the vehicle — it happened during all of the recent recalls — though he can't say why it suffered more than other Toyota vehicles. "I think a lot of the negative rating on the Tacoma isn't so much about the product, but about the image of the brand," Peterson says. Survey respondents expressed concerns about power, fuel economy, price, interior materials and Toyota's reputation. Even so, the Tacoma remains of the best-selling compact pickups here in the U.S.|
