Driving on low atf?

Ok, everyone call me a dumbass. This moring i went to do the first oil change on my 2010 Tacoma and i pulled the tranny plug by accident but quikly put it back in. I lost about 2/3 of a quart. When i tried finding the dip stick to put it back in i learned that it's a sealed unit. I don't have the tools (or know how i guess) to start screwing with my tranny trying to put the atf back in. So my question is can i damage my tranny by driving with 1/2 to 2/3 quarts low on atf?

 

imo (which is questionable at best), you stand a chance of doing damage if you run low on atf. also, i sincerely doubt that your atf system is "sealed" such that you cannot add fluid. a 2nd-Gen'r will likely chime in shortly.

 

Need to use special WS fluid- available from Toyota. Also, there is a procedure to warm the tranny to correct temperature for checking fluid. There is a good post about this if you search the site.
