I would have no problem owning any of the big three. Ford would be my first choice, but I would seriously consider the Cummins just because I could get a manual tranny with it...and the new ones look badass. :D

We pulled that T190 bobcat and it was pretty heavy about 9k. I think some of the gas trucks wouldnt have liked it very much at all. Im just a fan of diesels but dont pull enough to justify owning one, especially when my best friend has one haha.

Ya I just like diesels better than gas, I don't barely ever pull anything. But diesels get great mileage last forever and have the power to do anything you could want it to. Imho

Me being a mechanic, that's always one of the first things I consider is how is it to work on. And hearing from others that own a 5.9 or 6.7 Cummins, its way easier than a PSD or Dmax. A tow truck driver with a 6.0L PSD said the dealers had to pull the cab off the truck just to replace some injectors!!!

The injectors arent too hard to get out of the Dmax, but there is a fucking 5mm hex bolt (about 3) on the back side of bank 1, that requires help from the wrench gods (summond by juija board) to get out. After successfully removing the bolts, you then must make a substantial blood sacrifice to said gods, in order to get them back in.

The new 6.7 Powerstrokes are damn good. After driving one, I can say I was super impressed. The 6.0 and 6.4...fuck no.

Just because it accelerates the truck, does not make it "Dam good". Lets see how it is after a few thousand miles. So far, Im not impressed. The Dynos Im seeing put it about 100 to 150 HP below what its advertised at.

Yeah, but still. 100+ hp is ALOT of difference. I could see 50, or so MAX. But not 150.

    2.7 I4
    Engine: 160 HP
    Wheel: 120 HP (IIRC)

So 40 HP lost...I feel like an engine that size (with other huge drive train components) could easily lose 100 HP.

And Ford did issue the re-flash early on, so the numbers went from 360 HP/ 735 TQ to 400 HP/ 800 TQ...don't know which set of numbers you're going off of. But maybe the truck hadn't been re-flashed yet?
