Well.....To add more facts, The Rigeline was in a comparo in Popular Mechanics, between the Nissan, Toyota, Colorado, and Dakota. The Ridgeline was the only vehicle in their history to blow out the suspension on the road TO the off road testing facility. It was a washboard dirt road. PM contacted Honda about this, and Honda proclaimed that PM was abusing the Ridgeline, and that Honda would NOT cover the failed suspension. The Tacoma finished the off road test at the top.

It's a Minivan with a bed. And it's perfect for the market they made it for. People who have dogs, go camping, but want the comfort of an SUV or Minivan for taking the kids to school and going to the office. There's a reason they sell like hotcakes. Bitch all you want about it being considered the toughest truck out there. Do I agree with the article? Fuck no. People who drive ridgelines will never put their shit through the riggers that conventional truck drivers do.

Is it a solidly built vehicle? It's a Honda, that's a no brainer. Is it Rubicon Ready? No, and you're an idiot if you think that's what it's for.

I've seen a few in Dartmouth as "work trucks". I think the "trunk" in the bottom of the bed was short sighted, so I asked someone who had one... and he said it was a pain in the ass. He'd have the bed loaded with gear, and realize that the one thing he needed was buried, and the only was to get at it was to unload the bed. If Toyota does release the A-Bat, at least it's "trunk" is a exterior pull out, independent of the bed.

My wife wondered why I didn't consider the Ridgeline when I bought my Tacoma. She had just bought an Accord and Honda's are great, but not for a truck. First off every one of them I looked at when buying her car had a 40K sticker. Second, I think they are ugly as f**k. And third, I wanted a Tacoma 4x4 so if that wasn't what I was getting I would have just kept my Ram. I'm sure they are great for mall crawling, just not for me.

Hey, it's the first gen of that vehicle. I do the same thing with shit in my rear cubbies. I'll pile a bunch of shit on there and forget that I need the key to the spline lugs when changing tires.

I've got the Child seat there, and the stock jack won't lift my truck high enough to get the tires to clear the ground. That and once you use a hilift you never go back.

But I think people are getting confused. Honda built this thing as a legit mall crawler. It's made to do home depot runs and get the kids to and from soccer. It doesn't pretend to be anything it's not and Honda isn't selling or marketing it as anything different.

a lot of people are bashing a truck that they have no idea about.. the ridgeline is extremely reliable and after riding in a few, they seem to be very solidly built

Why is everybody's self esteem wrapped around whether or not a magazine liked their truck?

I am TOYOTA through & through BUT now also own a Ridgeline....my dad no longer drives his & my wife loves the dual purpose...... It is the "perfect" truck for Ft.Myers...trash runs,Lowes or a night out to Sannibel.....This thing would tow the Grady White with dual axle trailer without breaking a sweat....Plus its twin....the Pilot towed same Grady from Maine to Florida without a problem.....

Toughest truck...hell NO...but worth the $$$$$.....my Dad thinks so....his 5th Honda and he was a GM addict...;)...now it saves my Tacoma a 2600 mile round trip each winter :)....money well spent....

You keep believing everything you read and Obama will get another 4 years to "FIX" the U.S.A.......
