Apparently I have more going for me than I thought.

Not to mention that vehicles don't need to be right in front of you to throw rocks at you. Driving past you in the highway is how I've gotten all of mine.

A small handful of select mods.
It is not invalid it is a matter of opinion. Your point has not been proven and for that matter neither has mine. Velocity is lessened with distance however.

Took a drive to the airport today to pick up a passenger and started taking note on mud flaps. Not a single American made truck, SUV, or car that "appeared" to be stock had any sort of a mud flap on them. Only Toyota and Nissan had them on every type. Honda on some, and Hyundai, Kia nothing. I counted probably 100 vehicles all with at least 12"s of tire exposed in the back.

So again a hazard of driving a car, truck, or SUV.
