Fog lights on all the time????

Why do people drive around with their fog lights on all the time? Do they think that it makes them more visible than the two bigger lights above them??? Am I just being a cheap ass never turning them on because I don't want to have to replace the bulbs? I figure they are expensive and I don't want to spend any money I don't actually have to spend (other than mods).

So what gives- fog lights on 24/7, yes or no?

 

The anytime fog mod, more or less, just gives most of us the added option of running the fogs with the high beams if needed. I always hated that the fogs cut off when high beams were turned on. I have found it to be beneficial out in the woods to have the added light.

mine are always on at night and they have 35 watt hids in them and they are really bright lol

 

At night makes more sense then these guys I see running around in the middle of the day with every light on their truck going. I understand running your fog lights with your high beams (that mod is on my list). I just don't understand the people with them on during the day time. Yes, I understand that they have them. I'm happy for them - but why run them when it is so bright outside I have to wear glasses? Some stuff just confuses the crap outta me.

 

I have done the fog light mod but usually I just turn on my fogs on the days with crappy weather. On normal bright days I do not run any lights unless its dawn or dusk then I usually run the parking/fogs. I have the mod done so that the fogs come on with my parking lights so I never have to fool around with the fog button separately, just turn the light stalk one time and there on.

 

Same reason daytime running lights were invented.

Same reason I run the spot lights on the Harley during the day.

People feel safer being as visible as they can be.

 

I don't use mine during the day, headlights or fogs. Unless its raining/snowing. At night I leave them on though. Where I live there is no streetlights, so the added light is nice. Specially on a nice night when kids are out and about.

I don't use fogs during the day, but I can see things better at night when I use them with headlights.

 

i use em as my DTRL so yeah. and plus im using the shitty switch they gave me in the kit so its stuck on unless i pull the swtich out haha...i mean its only like what $15 to replace bulbs so why not?
