    Have you ever seen a parent with a small child, and the child says something patently ridiculous because of their limited understanding of the world, and the parent, rather than explaining, just sort of says "ok dear, if that's what you say." because it's not worth their time to set the child's mind straight? As in, it is not possible at this point in the child's development.

    Have you noticed I haven't done much explaining to you?
