Yeah i seen in another thread, they are using block for the lift, instead of doing the right way. That is a serious no no, for a rig designed for 100mph off roading.

This is an example of what happens when you get a standard F150 frame, bolt on some shocks and claim it is a badass full offroad truck. This is probably the same reason Toyota won't build something like it.

Toyota won't build something like it because they:

a) want to make money and realize the market is too small
b) realize that doing it the right way would require a unique platform engineered from the ground up

Ford makes a damn good truck for pulling shit and carrying shit. But shock absorption is a WAY different beast from static loads. Peak loading during shock events (like a 6000lb truck landing from several feet in the air) is often orders of magnitude higher than static loads.

People may call the Taco's frame weak, but in reality I think Toyota is acting on the "Bend but don't break" principle. A flexible frame is less likely to be permanently deformed, though it isn't as good at some other things (load carrying, for example).

When it comes to offroading, I'll take a Tacoma, even stock, over any variety of F-150, including the Raptor.
