well i traded the tacoma today for a ram 1500 4x4 reg cab. 4.7 liter v8. the tacoma was fun however between the annoyin squeeky clutch pedal ,the steering wheel shaft rattle and this past week when i turned the ac on the compressor squeeled like you wouldnt believe on start upi just decided it was having too many issues for such a new truck. wishing all of you the best... for anyone intrested heres pics of the ram [IMG]

I hope your dodge is problem free. I have had family members with Dodge's that didn't have good luck.

Best of luck with the new Ram. Personally, I've been down that road and I will never buy another Dodge ever again.

didnt have to buy a new truck, all those problems you had with your tacoma are VERY easily fixed.

even with my acura and bmw when I bought them a while back, it take a while for the car to run smooth, most new car does not function right the first 10k miles, it take some fine tunes. and all of those issues were under waranty, so I don't see why one would trade in a car for such minor problems

ill probably catch hell for this but here goes. i coulda lived with the creeking clutch issue. the intermitent sterring shaft issue yeah probably coulda got that fixed under warrenty as well. the ac grinding on start up scared me only becasue of a thread i read where someone replaced 3 units. all under warranty fortunitly . i just didnt love this vehicle. the bench seat sucked. i thought about swappin for buckets but in a truck it woulda been more trouble than it was worth. i realize that nothing is perfect and every vehicle is subject to problems but this wasnt even 2 yrs old and only had 8900 miles . i just wasnt real confident in that truck. i should mention i gave toyota two chances. the first one i had was a 2010 barcellona red one and the dealer took it back at 185 miles because the driver side floor flooded from a leak somewhere under the windshield cowl.
