well the pump is not bad they just told her the fluid is dirty and that they suck all of the old fluid out and replace it with new which I am sure provides benefits but I would think even at a dealer ( which this is) that this is pretty much 100% profit for the dealer.

The dealer is flat rate. Book says 2 hours, they charge 2 hours, job takes 30 minutes.

I got an email from the dealer I bought my truck from. 70 bucks and they will change my oil and filter, top off the other fluids, and rotate my tires. Their oil change, which is filter oil and multi point inspection costs 19 bucks. so 50 bucks more they give me 10 ounces of windshield washer fluid... pass.

I have never seen a manufacturer recommend a power steering fluid change. It seems to be dealer recommended quite a bit. I think that's mostly so they can charge for it. I would be wary, I can't count the times I have changed a fluid that's not been opened before and then had leaks to fix.
