One of the first things you should do is ensure that none of the guys with trucks blocking the Taurus is a member on here and reading this thread..

Secondly, I agree... you need to think like a thief (if you're not going the route of hot chicks)

Stake out their place and learn their routines... know what time there is the least truck bloackage. Also try to locate any one who is watching the car or any cameras on it... typical surveillance stuff.

Another option is to get a tow truck that resembles the one that the DMV in your area use and paint it to match the DMVs. Get fake parking tickets on the truck and maybe the taurus. Then just go straight in and wheel it away with the tow truck.

    Hope this helps...
    (good luck)

This would work... if I had a tractor or access to one

This could work... though I don't really know what you're talking about can you explain more?

I'm not dragging their personal trucks and fucking them up

I'M NOT DRAGGING THEIR PERSONAL TRUCKS AND FUCKING THEM UP
And any time they would have any girls there they'd be drinking and would definitely not be willing to give her a ride

This is a little too involved... creative though

I had that thought initially... but no yotas parked in front of the house so I assume no members here. The fake parking ticket thing won't work because they own the property they park on so no go. And seriously? Buy and paint a tow truck? I don't think we could come up with enough money as and entire university to do that.

Yep. I see it completely unguarded sitting on campus every morning. That is where we'll strike.

    I can do that.

Great idea... hell they might not even notice till we take the subframe.

I got a ninja pic of the car today... kinda bad cause it was going by and I didn't want them to see me taking it.

    2011-09-16_13-48-30_602_03583287bc23c76456564df82c974d63744b418e.jpg

All the older guys in the house have been telling me that you can't steal it on campus but that wasn't stated in the official rules so I say it's fair game because it seems to be at its weakest while on campus. I'm thinking if I go at like 7am tomorrow I won't be bothered (I mean come on... 7am on a saturday at a fraternity. who the hell is gonna be up?) and can get some solid time going through it and maybe trying to hotwire it. I'll update again after I make another attempt.

make friends with a local tow truck driver... or if you can find one a repo man. we used to carry them on our truck. not sure if tow truck drivers will have them. good luck with the car... oh and if you want to stop it from moving for a while just climb in the drivers seat upside down and your looking for a black cable that will be coming from your now right side under the stearing wheel.. it will or should have a white plastic end to it that will fit over the shift linkage(ball shape) pull that plastic part off then pull the cable till the second click(neutral) that might take them a while to figure out till you can get a better plan to get the car out..... good luck

i didn't mean buy and paint a tow truck... i meant get use of one and use fake decals...

Its unguarded during the day so thats a good start. Also its open so it'll be easy to get into to put it into neutral and disable the parking brake.

I like tigerfan's point about taking the wheels off.

you can always use and exhaust jack to lift the car if you can't find enough hands to lift...

It was blocked in last night again. I was poking around in it and someone shined a huge spotlight on me and started yelling. I have no idea where the hell it came from but I jumped up and hauled ass outta there before they figured out who it was.

the cable...... is on older cars... not sure if on never ones,...... automatic..... its from the shifter to the transmission... unlatch it...doesn't hurt anything on the car... it basically puts the transmission in neutral..... then when you want it in gear again put the cable back on

Is this like a huge thick cable that actually changes the gears mechanically or is it something more like a wire?

I made my first attempt last night/this morning. I went up there at about 4am and left when the sun came out at about 7am. I pulled apart the steering column and then was trying for 3 hours to break the ignition cylinder and couldn't. I tried smashing a screwdriver through it (didn't have a hammer but i smacked it with my hand) no dice. Then I put a vice grip on it and started just twisting around and breaking off any metal I could. I got it to the point where I could get it to start sliding out with heavy prying but it kinda gets hung up so I'm at a loss. I also couldn't figure out how to break the steering wheel lock either so all I managed to do was break the blinker stalk off accidentally and then I took the shift lever off and took it with me so they couldn't drive it anywhere. Then we spray painted a dick on the hood and turned on the flashers and left. I took some pictures to see if anyone can see anything I was missing...

anyone have any ideas for me?
