    Ok so heres the story, i thought id leave a new thread as a last option on here to avoid annoying everyone, but after calling 7 locations, including 2 toyota dealers, and the manufacturer itself, i still couldnt get a answer.

    Im in the market to buy new steelies, this is what i have my sight locked on. I called all 7 locations to try to get stock wheel measurements so i know if it will work, but none of them knew...

    The rigs a 2004 taco dc. its a 6 lug but im not sure on the rest of the measurements. So the question is, WILL THESE FIT WITHOUT RUBBING CALIPERS OR IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD WORRY ABOUT?:eek:

    I can't swear to the one you linked, but I can tell you the ones I linked below will work just fine as long as you don't have VSC option. VSC option is pretty rare. Easiest way to tell is if you have two rear soft brake lines coming from the frame to the axle. If you only have 1, you're good.

    They look the same as the ones you linked and based on your description fit your needs.

    EDIT: My statement about VSC above can be ignored, that's only for 15" wheels. If you want 16's you're fine if you have VSC or not.

    The one you posted has a 3.75in backspacing and the Summit racing one is 4in, is that what causes the caliper rub? the backspacing?

    No, backspacing is just how far the wheel sticks out from the hub. The lower the number, the farther the wheels stick out. I think you may have misread the backspacing wheelers offers. They offer two backspacing option in the 16" wheel.
    Type A the BS=4.5"
    Type B the BS=4"

    gotcha. sweet thanks man! last questions whats the " 6 x 5.50" in the wheel description and do these measurements seem like a problem stock?

    6 on 5.5 is the bolt pattern.
    All 6 lug Tacomas have a 6 on 5.5....and so do 1st gen tundras, and 4 runners, and fjs, and......

    Perfect then, if the backspacing is the same as the one you recomended, and the 6 x 5.50 is stock on all 6 lug tacoma, then there should be no reason why it wouldnt fit.

    Not entirely true. It depends on how the wheel is cut. Again I don't know shit about the Summit Wheel, but it certainly could rub the caliper despite the backspace and size being identical to the ones sold by wheelers. If the cut on the wheel is more concave, then it could come in contact with the caliper.

    I'm a little ballsy. I said read up on Summit's return policy ;)
