I've got a 2013 Double cab and I've been having a hard time finding a good quality box without breaking the bank. It looks like the bed configuration is different from 2012 to 2013. It's been nothing but headaches. Any help would be appreciated. My first Tacoma and lovin it so far!

Thanks for the pics the Kobalt and BetterBuilt look great. I like the low profile and they both hold tons of crap. The 2013 bed has more than the wheel wells. How long have you had the Kobalt box? Any problems with the latches or locks?

Does anyone have a picture of the j hooks I've seen some people mention or any other method used to lock the toolbox to the bed somehow without having to drill? Just got a low profile uws and don't want to just sit it in the bed for someone to come and just walk away with!

I like these hooks just fine. Only problem I have had ia making sure I got the holes drilled in toolbox lined uo over your bedrails correctly. On my UWS I had to drill as close as I possibly could to the inside corners. Also if you over tighten
the clamps you can warp the plastic along the top of the bed. Just don't torque down on them too much.

I drilled into my bed and used carriage bolts because I'm a bit paranoid of people stealing my shit.

You would have to get inside the tool box to remove these clamps as well

I like these i may have to get a set all i have now are some j hooks. I went off road and did some flexing and it caused the j hooks to come out of place causing the box to slide down the bed of my truck. Im thinking these would hold in pace better.

Got any more pictars? Specifically, I'd like to see how that illuminates the area behind the truck. Same toolbox, thats an easy way to mount lights, and looks cool.

For $150 they're awesome. You can pack quite a bit into it and don't lose much bed space.

I looked on Lowes website and I haven't seen it yet. I found the silver, but we all know black is the better one ;)

I haven't seen the black one in stock anywhere in awhile. I work for lowes and would have preferred the black one too. Its highly likely only certain areas get it or is special order.

I'm just gonna plasti dip mine.
