Subaru Forester. Nice full-time 4WD system that actually works full-time. Good layout (spare under the floor, not on tailgate), yet still 8" ground clearance. Even the base model comes with equipment on par with a Taco SR5. 3-year reliability as good as the RAV4 and FJ: http://www.jdpower.com/autos/ratings/dependability-ratings-by-category/compact-crossover-suv/

I wouldn't buy a vehicle from a factory where its known and been shown that a good part of the workers drink alcohol and smoke weed in a nearby park during lunch time just about every day. No thanks.

Blows my mind that I see more New Jeep Cherokees on the road than 4Runners or FJ Cruisers..Consumer Reports is partially to blame for that though.

    Sammy,

I too wasn't "Feeling" the new 4Runner when i decided it was time to trade my Tacoma. I did seriously consider the Jeep but after much thought i decided on the T4R. Its been almost a month now and as each day goes by i'm lovin the 4Runner more and more!! I highly recomend the Runner if you're looking for an SUV, you won't be dissapointed!

ask this question...what will the 4Runner be worth in 5 years? What will the Grand Cherokee be worth in 2 years? Toyota trucks and SUV's have high resale value for a reason...they are well made. If you don't need a truck or use 4wd, why not get a car?

Thanks for all the replies. I'm still a few months away from pulling the plug on anything. Im going with a SUV cuz I have 2 dogs, while they're not that big just want an SUV to be able to take the dogs adn what ever gear I have for the day. If I were a single man, I would have an FJ right now.
