Our 2011 BMW 328 xdrive is nice but overpriced at $43k. I just don't see what people see in them. I really dont see anything special about them.very cramped inside and low,to the ground. The xdrive is insane in the snow.
Our 2008 pontiac torrent is just a pile of crap. I hated it the day we test drove it.its all over the highway. The 3.4 is sooooo slow. Seats are like a park bench
My 1989 Chevy crew cab dually is just gangster.

We recently got a BMW X3 (to save wear and tear on our Eurovan) and the first time I drove it was pretty epic.

The gas light was on, and I had not driven it yet, so I took it to the gas station about a mile away. On the way back, I looked up and there was a huge sunroof (awesome) that I do not have in the Tacoma. I pushed the open button. It opened. Sky was above me. I pushed the button again. Big mistake, as chunks of plastic started raining down on me as it tried to close.

I didn't realize that the panoramic sunroof on those is known to be problematic. Part of the slider mechanism will break over time, and I broke it with that one closing of the roof. Sonofbish. Fixing it was either:

    1. Replacing the entire roof cassette assembly (I found one on Craigslist for $2500! :O) which looks like a major PITA. You basically have to disassemble the entire car.

    or

    2. Carefully cutting away the part of the carrier track for the roof, permanently disabling the rear panel of glass the screws everything up.

Obviously, after modding my truck a bit, I am not afraid of DIY so I went with option #2 - and it worked great.

If you have a BMW with a panoramic root that is screwed PM me, I can help you fix it for free.
