My buddy has a non-wrx impreza. i know he likes it. he gets avg 24mpg. i think it looks like a super small mini van but seems like a good car.

My wife had a 2006 non-wrx Impreza wagon, great car. As others have said though not the best choice for good MPG's. All wheel drive eats it up as well as the tires. We averaged mid to high 20's with the 5 speed and my wifes lead foot. Overall i was always happy with it, good luck.

edit: forgot to add that the wrx needs premium fuel I believe. Something to think about.

I wouldn't. Why pay more for similar performance

I disagree IF you wanted to race or track it.

My Physics teacher has a wrx hatchback and LOVES it, but you need premium gas iirc and more $$$ for maintaining it and driving it harder etc...

Make sure you take it on a good long test drive on some hilly, dirty roads first. We had the Sport Premium all loaded up for exactly 30 days and hated it enough to lose almost $2000 to get rid of it.

Agreed. I just sold my 09WRX. Did catback, cobb tuner, and got it up too 298hp when the STI was 305hp.

Also got about 25mpg when i watched my right foot.

So we got the 2012 impreza premium, she loved it and I liked the styling of it, the cvt is a little weird but she drove it 250 miles from baltimore yesterday to our house and it still has a lil over half a tank, not bad forhighway. The CVT does rev a lil high but as LONG AS SHE IS HAPPY, IM

There goes my build page for the year though, gave her 5000 to put down on it so that suspsension upgrade I was thinkin about is just gonna have to wait for a while
