Ford Global Ranger Test Mule Spotted In Colorado

Wonder what it's doing here. The global Ranger's increased size is pretty evident when parked next to other vehicles. If sold here, it would definitely take a chunk out of F-150 sales.

What's with the tank in the bed marked "gasoline"? Almost like it's an after thought. Unless it's actually someone's truck, and not a tester.

 

Probably an extended range tank for the mule.
Marked because they don't want anyone putting #2 in it.

 

Makes sense to not be hanging around the gas stations with a bunch of cars that aren't supposed to exist. I read the article and don't see where this was taken....obviously they stopped somewhere public.

Edit: What if the Ranger is diesel and it's just carrying gasoline around to fuel the other vehicles? Wouldn't that be something.....Toyota would be losing more than a few Tacoma owners.
