No. The Taco bed's sheet molding compound is typically fiberglass-reinforced polyster resin. The Weathertech is said to be some thermoplastic elastomer. It's marketed toward F-150s with steel beds.

What's the point of a giant floor mat for a truck bed?
Oh maybe it's for those who have a bedrug to protect the carpet Lol. But then they'll need a big fluffy mat over the weathertech to absorb moisture, but then the tailgate latch will stick causing unintended cargo deployment and we'll all have to get our tailgate handles trimmed down.

I figure this will be marketed toward guys how have caps, or those who don't want a full bed liner, but want something on the floor of the bed.

Unneeded product? Who's to say. Will people buy it... Hell yes.
