I was just wondering if anybody has experience or knowledge of an LS3 motor. I plan on building a class 1 buggy to race and am going to put the LS3 in it. I plan on building the motor my self but dont know much about the motor and what are good aftermarket parts. I want to increase the HP and Torque without comprimising the durability.

Just need help with pistons, cams, crank, heads, rods, etc. Brands and specs would help a lot. What is a safe lobe lift distance and duration on the cams. hoping to get at least 600HP if possible with no superchargers or turbos. Thanks...Mike

Pretty simple...Stock isnt enough. Some teams run LS7's. It racing so you need the most you can get.

I dont know how much HP i can get. It is going to be N/A, no supercharger or turbos. Im hoping to get 600, but that may be pushing it. I havnt done to much research yet. I posted the same topic on ls1tech.com so we will see.

I am not sure if i would do a supercharger and i dont think they are allowed. I havnt got the rule book yet for SCORE. But even if they are i dont think i would do it considering the conditions the motor has to go through.
