AutoZone fires Veteran

Cliff notes:

Vato-zone fired a veteran and soon to be father for defending himself, his manager, and his store from an armed robber. Apparently they have a zero-tolerance policy against employees carrying weapons in the store.

If he knew it was in the employment contract and signed up anyway, not much he can do. He saved the day but rules are rules I suppose.

I understand the purpose of the policy, but I also understand exigent circumstance. He wasn't carrying the weapon while working, and retrieved it to prevent further conflict. There are a lot of events in recent history that could have been prevented or reduced had the good guy been carrying. I'm just fed up with people getting their pee-pee slapped for defending themselves or those around them, or otherwise doing the right thing.

Btw, nice sig.
