94 t100 "tick"

93 Pick up 4x4 (sold), 10' Mazda 3

Hey guys. I am looking at a 94 t100 4x4 and couldnt find much on this issue but the owner says it has an engine tick when it is fully warmed up. The truck has a 3.0 in it so i know the head gaskets are a common problem. I am just wondering if this "tick" as he says is normal or if it is a sign of the engine getting ready to go out? He says its a tick and not a knocking noise so im not quite sure. I know several yotas that "tick".

Should i jump on the deal or let it pass? Thanks! He wants 900 for it.
