ok i know this is supposed to be all about tacomas but i just wanted to see what you guys thought about mine and my dads new project.....my dad is a hardcore american muscle guy so he gives me a hard time about my taco. so its kind of hard to get him involved with building it up so heres the build, a couple years back dad had a nova and he had a chevy 572 big block crate motor built to drop in it. well he just ended up leaving the stock 350 motor in it and we still have a very expinsive motor out in the garage. so we went out this morning and bought a 1977 chevy k5 truck.

its prbly the biggest POS i have ever seen its got 90,000 orgnl miles

and the idea is to make a mud truck out of this, here is the motor that were working on puttin in it here this evening

and if you guys dont know to much about a 572 its got around 600 hp and around 610 lb ft of torque. so if im rite when we get the new motor and tranny in it should tear up about any mud hole around.... we just ordered the Dana 44 real axel and new 12 bolt posi rear end for this beast. we plan on puttin it in the air about 8 or so inches and hopefully in time for the spring mud bog in Boone.....but all in all the you know whats haulin all the parts :) yeahh the toco

That is one heck of a motor. Reminds me of when my friend and I put together a badass 327 for my old '78 Z28...I wish I had some pics of it; all painted and Summited out...
