I was a big fan of the G8 so I've been anticipating what Chevy was going to do with bringing that platform back with the updated Holden Commodore. Overall I like it. Would love one in addition to the Taco but this will likely be north of $40k and that's a little too much for me for a second vehicle. I think it needs the darker finished wheels of the Holden version of this car. Thoughts? Aside from the expected GM hate of course.:D

What I do find interesting that they will only be offering a automatic transmission

Not bad, but yes, looks like a family car. One Camaro for me please.

Who starts modding a brand new $30k + vehicle?

Yet another "performance" car with only a slushbox in it....Don't we have enough of those already?

I too was sad to see the G8 go away, those cars were pretty badass. I like the idea of the SS but I would have to see one in person.

I hope to see them offer the 6 SPD manual eventually. Would give it an advantage over someone cross shopping it with an SRT Charger or 300.

First mod to this car should be the bowtie delete mod. The gold badge is so dated it ruins this car. FWIW the paddle shifting Camaro SS is quicker than its manual equipped version but it does take away the fun factor.

Knowing Chevy there's probably a mounting point molded in as part of the grill in the shape of the bowtie. That's how my 2007 Impala SS was. Took it off and left with an ugly bowtie shape In the grille lol. Although I replaces it with an SS emblem which looked really good.

I don't really like the looks, but I usually don't like the way GMs look so nothing new. I am enjoying see so many auto giants getting back to make rwd fun cars.
