    Beginning in third-quarter 2013, Ram will become the only brand to offer a small-displacement diesel for its half-ton line of trucks.
    The 2014 Ram 1500 will offer a new, 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine, mated with the eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The powertrain is expected to deliver an outstanding combination of best-in-class fuel efficiency, best-in-class torque and impressive capability.


    Best hopes are Toyota to do same! :D

    I just don't understand why they wouldn't put that in a smaller platform like the Dakota? I know they're doing away with them, but I'm just saying. Mpg's would likely be even better and not everyone wants a beast of a truck. I guess they figure the American market doesn't want that?It seems to me most Americans that want a full size truck are the people that want the biggest and most powerful and don't care that much about the mpg's. I'm just not sure that this will catch on in a full size beast like that. I guess it's their way of answering the Government pushing for higher mpg's in big trucks though.
