Look at the Jeep Cherokee...the current generation came out in 2011, and already they get a major redesign for 2014, new 8 speed automatic, and a diesel engine option that will also be offered in the Dodge Ram 1500!
Toyota slaps a new grille on the Tundra and calls it all new. I think Toyota relies too much on the brand name to sell cars. It wont work forever

if it ain't broke, don't fix it

it will be interesting to see how well the 1500 diesel does

They have to be innovative. Have you seen the sales numbers for previous years? If they don't do something to entice even loyal buyers, they better close their doors. I don't want to bail them out again.

I wouldn't call the Grand Cherokee a major redesign for 2014.

This is really awesome news. The diesel should make the ram get freakin awesome mpg, and I read that the darn thing can rev up to 5000 rpm:eek:

Imagine a fullsize getting 30 mpg.

I wouldn't wheel in that thing...

I'd pick my grandmother up in one though.

EDIT: I'd mob the urban jungle in an SRT-8 version of the 2014.....FO SHO.

Toyota will become innovative when they are in a pinch hence the engine and facelifts
