Is that Tanner from Top Gear? Almost didn't recognize him wearing that oversized hat, urban style

I think Tanner is exaggerating. And the Germans have their G-class Mercedes with front and rear lockers, so they aren't foreign to off-road machinery.

Yep. Must have taken all his discipline to keep the tires off the grass. Hope to see it featured in a Top Gear episode, so we'd know the Ford's lap time on the 'Ring. A 600-hp Hennessey Raptor was about 11% off the Aston Martin's time on the top gear test track, which is pretty incredible.

^ The Raptor didn't look happy on the course...had to be a handful. Funny to hear the low bark of those huge tires

Haha nice. I would have probably rolled the damn thing.

And yea I don't think he meant theybsont have trucks in the literal sense just that you're not going to see one every 5 cars at the mall like in the states haha. And the ones they have they're probably less full size behemoths.

I've been to Germany 3 times in the last few years and I can confirm, zero pickup trucks in the mid or full size categories we see here. Literally none, they must be very rare.

The pickup truck type vehicles I saw were odd totally utilitarian cross between a van and pickup. Industrial, not recreational.

Makes you wonder how they get bye.

Of course, when your entire country is only 1/3 the size of Texas...

With unlimited speed limits through much of it. They prefer fast sleek vehicles, not bricks.

Kinda of cool I guess, does anyone know if an X-Runner has ever run the ring?
