Thats awsome! my dad has no interest in offroading at all not that he's not supportive, but when I talk about being stuck in the mud he thinks I'm crazy.

back in the day... ok not that long ago, we both had a good time with our turbo talons.

Now he's got a porsche for the summer and a Santa-gay as his winter car.

Hey may "out-mod" you till youre blue in the face...but your truck will still be running with minimal maint. long after he's had major overhauls done

My dad used to give me tons of crap about buying a tacoma...because 3 days before i bought my truck...he picked up a brand spanking new 2005 Silverado Z71 blah blah blah with BFG MTs etc...that last about 6 months until I had to come pull him out of some mud out at our farm. Now he takes the golf cart or makes me drive out in the back fields...

I'm with the other folks though...have fun with this...get out and enjoy the trails and time with your pops...even if its a jeep...it'll still be fun :)

I took pictures of his bumpers this weekend and it is SICK! I'm so jealous! The front has a winch mount, but the cable guide is removed (you can see the four bolts on the second picture). I can't wait to bolt-on that thing and some off-road lights to this beast. It REALLY looks good in person and STOUT!!! I hope these pics due the Jeep justice.......wait....what am I saying?

This is a competition..... I'm not supposed to like it.

Now, now, there are several good points about Jeeps. Granted, I only know YJs, but there's waaayyyy more stuff out there for modding Jeeps than there is for the Tacoma. Tends to be cheaper to do as well. They both have their good points, and they both look awesome pimped out! Older Jeeps tend to be pretty good for do-it-yourselfers, even to fix all that crap that repeatedly breaks--again, I dunno about the new ones, probably not so easy. I love both of my babies, so I'm not gonna pick on anything either way. I wouldn't discount the Jeep wheeling either, not entirely sure about the JK, but still. Just have fun hanging out and modding with your Dad! My Dad and I talk bikes and guns, and those have been some of our best conversations!

all my dad really wants to talk about is who i like or who i'm going to take to the prom, i'm a hopeless romantic who can't seem to get it right, i'm so tired of him bothering me about it, when he starts talking about it i've started to just get up and walk away, sorry needed to vent, V day is the day that reminds me that i'm still where i am
