**SOMEONE PLEASE HELP**

im putting my stock supercharger pulley back on and this GD allen bolt somehow went from finger tight to superman on roids tight. the allen part is stripped out, not the threads.



it wouldnt be that difficult to remove other than the fact that i cant get the supercharger snout to stop spinning as im trying to loosen it. ive tried a strap wrench and cannon plug pliers on the snout. i obviously cant throw a pair of vice grips on the snout as that would damage it. i have to get this damn thing out. please somebody throw me an idea that i havnt tried

 

Hmm....

Is it tight at the head or at the base? If it's tight at the head you can use a hack saw at the base of the head without getting into the shaft to relieve some of the pressure. Dont go all the through the head, just to level with the thread.

If you had a strip of leather or rubber you might try to wrap the shaft and then clamp to it. Just some non conventional thoughts.

 

I would first try tapping the bolt to see if it might magically go back to finger tight.

If not, you might try wrapping an old bicycle tube tight around the shaft a few times then clamping the vise grip on that. It might move a little but the rubber should push against it and add extra pressure.

I have no idea if that would work, it's just what comes to mind when looking at that.

by the looks of the threads in that pic, he used some grips.

 

Leather belt around the snout with vice grips on the snout and Allen head. Destroyed my buddies thumb on the battery when it let loose lmao
