Depends on the weather... comfy out and it's windows down. Hot and muggy, windows up and AC on. Usually on the freeway, it's windows up due to the noise.

Middle of Texas: All windows down, never run A/C when I'm alone. Windows up, A/C on her setting when the wife is in it.

Super hot, window cracked and AC on full until the ducts chill and the hot air is blown out of the cab.
Then windows up, AC down to the 2nd or 3rd position and on recirc.

I rarely need to run the AC above the 2nd click (straight up) when on recirc in my white RC.

So nice right now... the Admin building will be under construction for the rest of the year, so they opened up the 2nd floor of the city hall parking structure to employee parking. I'll be spending the summer parking the Taco in the shade

In 105-110 degree heat moving vs. stationary doesn't really matter with the windows down... It's the difference between a convection oven and a regular one. Windows up, A/C blowin'.

The difference between dry and humid is the sweat shadow left on your seat after you've gotten out of the truck. Down range we hit 115+ well over 200 days out of the year, but it was bone dry, made it easy to bear. Maybe that's why I don't run the AC now lol

Not just for Tacomas!
My question to you (Vote!!) is window(s) down, or a/c.. or maybe a combo of both during these hot drives. Or maybe you are one of those who refuses to conform, and just suffer with the windows up and no a/c..
Entirely regardless of the myths regarding window down=bad MPG.
Pretend that you will achieve the same MPG. Even if you don't believe that.

Personally, I have been keeping the window down.. Get to rest my hand on the door, and just makes it feel like summer. Relaxing for me. Unless it is rush hour, and traffic is at a standstill and no fresh air is coming in, in which case I'll roll the window up and blast that cold a/c!
on the plus side, the weather should change in an hour.

then, again................and again...............and again 24 times per day

atleast u guys have awesome lightning shows!

If it's just hot and I'm driving along, my window down and open the slider unless it's horrifically humid.

I did something today I rarely if ever do, turned the AC up all the way. I was helping a friend move some furniture for his daughter and driving door to door was 2 minutes, so I blasted it to cool us off and refresh us a bit before the next load or unload..

Oh yeah, located about 30 min south of Boston MA..
I've never opened my slider while driving.. I'll try that out sometime and see if I get good airflow. A/C will definitely cool you off.

If you keep it hot in your car, and it's hot outside you'll be better acclimated if you need to do any physical activity.. Heat won't hit you as hard.

Parking in the shade or garage helps so much.. I hate getting into a stuffy vehicle. Feels like you are suffocated.
