I watched this show last night, some interesting facts about GM, its pretty long 52 mins, but its worth watching to the end. Really makes you wonder why were giving GM or the other 2 any money at all. I dunno about anyone else, but I would buy a Tacoma hybrid, especially if it had the V6!!

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
I don't usually stick up for GM, but that movie ignored a lot of financial reasons why GM dropped it. First of all, the number of people signed up for the program dropped off. That led to a problem where the manufactures who made the parts for the EV-1 decided to stop delivery of replacement parts since they were making zero profits. That led to their demise, which was that GM had a fleet of electric cars with no replacement parts- including safety components- which meant that they had a huge liability on their hands once the cars began to age. That was why they discontinued the program. But the cars were really ahead of their time. They are coming out with the Chevy Volt next year... if they survive.

I was flipping through channels about a year back and caught it on tv. Remarkably riveting documentary and worth watching.

Funny thing is that I never knew GM had even made an electric car before seeing that show.

GM isn't completely to blame. I bet they wish they still held those patents to the battery technology though!

Seen it a few years ago, good film, that's one rare car now. What there is like 1 in existence anymore?
I just find it weird that they took the trouble to cancel all the leases, take all the cars back and destroy all but one.
