my mom's '07 has about 130k and the front end feels like its going to fall off the truck at any moment. Not to mention the death wobble that has almost earned it's name many times.

Still runs great. No rust (kinda depends on where you live...)
I will always buy another one, but it will be a while because mine has a lot of fight left.

I have an 05 taco with 158,000. The only thing I have had to change (other than regulaer mait) was the battery. other than that my taco has never broke down or ive never had any problems. Still getting about 15-19 mpg with a 3inch lift and 33's.

I traded in my 05, in April with 173,554 miles. Only repairs: Factory battery, Universal joint, & a wheel bearing.

My 05 got better gas mileage than my 2011 does. 05 was getting between 18-19 mpg & I drove it like I stole it. Best I've gotten on the 2011 is 17.5 mpg & that is using somewhat of a hyper mile method (neutral on hills).

just found this thread today, but my '02 tacoma has 224k and not a single hiccup. it was originally owned by my dad and he bought it band new in '02. we do all of our own maintenance. besides the timing belt and shocks, nothing major has ever needed replacement. i still avg. about 19-20mpg. here in CA, we don't really have to worry about rust. the overall condition is 8/10 when properly washed, lol.

my brother has an '02 2.4L 4-cyl. auto with 245k, owned since new as well. unfortunately, his motor finally gave up. it started to run really rough he had a check engine light that we just couldn't solve. it turned out to be a couple of burnt valves. the motor got rebuilt about 1-2months ago and it's running like new again. he got his money's worth out of that truck.

My 1st taco had 196,000 miles when i traded it in. I averaged about 19 MPG. It was a '99 extended cab v6 4x4. The only Rust was above the windshield. That was the reason for me getting rid of it. It started to leak.

6k miles on my 2010, bought new in March 2010. At my current rate I'll hit 250k in the year 2060. I hope its resale value holds until then (assuming I live that long).
