    Good point but, then that kinda tells me the "price fixing" really wasn't sticking it to the customers...or am I thinking wrong.

    They can only fix the price so high before they build it in house. I think its because they were making agreements to raise prices with other manufactures of similar products.
    Nope maybe they just wont rise as fast or maybe they can use higher quality components elsewhere.
